Primeval Abyssian - Yor Telth

I've been neglecting this blog of late so thought I'd post a bunch of stuff I've done over the past few months or so. To start with, here are the Yor Telth (Previously named Ylataran Nexus)

The model range came from the idea of wanting to make all of the infantry units from one "chassis" or "suit". The unit type is changed via different heads, weapons and extra armour parts to change them into the various units.

The Yor Telth are an extra-universal race that conquer universe after universe and have now discovered the Etherium and plan to conquer that too.

The Inertials form the basic troops :

The Centrifugers and Deuteriators are the elite infantry :

Muon Isotopiators form the heavy-support infantry :

the Fusion Maegus is the Commander type :

Of course an army needs vehicles, so I've also developed a modular vehicle kit that makes three different variants as well :

Two of the vehicles can be made using multiple pods which link together to form "trains". one will be a transport and the other will be a heavy-support tank. I'll get pictures of these two variants up when they are finished!

One variant is finished though and that is the single-pod fast-attack one :

And to fill out the army, they have drones and floating bombs!

Primeval Abyssian - Quartoulian master model (Work in progress)

I've been working on a Quartoulian master model the past week. Heres what I got so far. It still needs an arm attached to it holding a weapon, but is otherwise done.

The mysterious and fearful Quartoulians originate from the nightmarish Shadow Vault - they are a race able to manipulate and alter mass to such a degree they have learnt to create variable mass based weaponry and technology.

The Quartoulians are the remnants of a living reflection of a universe simulation discarded aeons ago by the Adrifell. The Adrifell did not expect their universe simulation to have a reflective shadow to it, but somehow once the simulation was disabled - the reflective shadow of it still remained and evolved. The Adrifell then sought out and destroyed every shard of it's data-existence - but something somehow survived.

The survivors became the Quartoulians which somehow managed to hide themselves in the dark nebulas. Once the Adrifell vanished from the Etherium - the Quartoulians built up an empire and became one of the major factions of the Etherium using the Shadow Vault worlds as their base to launch crusades to collect as much energy and power to keep themselves alive.

Quartoulian shadow-matter, the material they are made from needs a lot of energy to sustain itself, so the Quartoulians have become a desperate faction - constantly striving to continue to exist in a universe that was never made for them.

The Shadow Vault itself is the last remaining fragment of the reflective shadow generated by the long destroyed Universe Simulation. It is however slowly decaying every few years, increasing the desperation the Quartoulians feel. For them, survival is a struggle and everything they do is to survive their own personal apocalypse.

Primeval Abyssian : Updated Tolathian sculpts (WIP)

Due to the delays in getting the Master recasts needed to progress with the Cascadian and Masters of Unlife miniature ranges, I've started to go back and update older sculpts. I've started with the Tolathians of course :

Primeval Abyssian : Psylorthion Work In Progress sculpts

I've been slowly working on the Psylorthion master models this month and have a few work in progress pictures to finally share. Bare in mind, they still look rough as there are lots of parts to be filled in, sanded and perfected.

Psylorthion Infantry - It lacks an arm at current, but different infantry units will have various arm attachedments to differentiate them)

Psylorthion Resonator - A small artillery vehicle with a lot of firepower.

Psylorthion Shackle Coda - This is basicly the Psylorthion equivilent of a Jetbike.

Primeval Abyssian - Tolathian vehicle (Work In Progress)

Here are a few shot's of the WIP Tolathian vehicle, working title "Lightning bolt". It still need's a lightning gun mounted on the rectangular area on the front Pillar. Quite happy with how it's turning out.

The Cloud part of the vehicle is made from expanding foam, the foam gives a nice cloud-like appearance as it slowly expands and gets more "bubbly". I had to do several versions before I got one that I was happy with. The pillars themselves look a bit rough at the moment, So I need to sand the sides down to get a smoother surface.
